It's another triumphant campaign for Pinay beauty queens who competed in international pageants here and abroad for the last two weeks. Topping the list is Teresita Sen "Winwyn" Marquez who was crowned Miss Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 in Sta. Cruz, Bolivia last Nov.5. A native of Paranaque City, Winwyn is the first and only Asian representative to win the title dominated by Latinas in the previous years. Daughter of estranged celebrity couple Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez, she is also into showbiz business being a contract star of GMA-7. She was crowned Miss World Philippines Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 last September.
Miss Philippines-Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco became the 4th Miss Earth titleholder of the country last November 4 at the MOA Arena in Pasay City. Karen bested more than 80 delegates from around the world to have clinched the most coveted pageant title that deals with the protection of our mother nature.

Before she finally relinquished her crown on January 30, 2017 to her deserving successor, Iris Mittenaere from France, 2015 Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was given a lavish tribute held at the Harbor Tent of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel last January 22.
The event was organized by her Aces and Queens family led by Jonas Gaffud, head of the Mercator Modeling Agency and creative director of Miss Universe 2016.
It was an emotional yet a successful tribute where the life of Pia as Miss Universe was told thru songs and dances.

In her first public appearance after competing at this year’s Miss Universe pageant held in the country, Philippine bet Maxine Medina looked flawless as she waved to the fans gathered at Gateway Mall’s activity area for the opening of the pageant’s pop-up store on Friday, Feb. 10.
“Thank you to all my supporters,” Maxine said in a hushed voice as media and fans swarmed the area for a glimpse and photo ops with the reigning Miss Universe Philippines.

Twenty-four Beauty Delegates of the on-going 65th Miss Universe Pageant visited the summer capital of the country, Baguio City last January 18 and was treated with royal welcome and world-class Filipino hospitality fit for a queen. The beauties who visited Baguio City are from Australia, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Albania, Aruba, Barbados, France, Guam, Haiti, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Korea, Kosovo, Malta, Mauritius, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, US Virgin Island, Denmark, Finland, Canada and Japan.

Twenty delegates of the 65th Miss Universe Pageant visited the Heritage City of Vigan in Ilocos Sur last Sunday, January 15, 2016 and got a glimpse of the historic and rich cultural colonial heritage of the country as part of the ancillary event of the most prestigious pageant event in the universe.

One the most exclusive events that are part of the run-up to the Miss Universe Competition will happen at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City this January 16th.
The Governor's Ball, named after former Ilocos Sur governor Luis "Chavit" Singson (LCS), is a special gala where members of high society get an opportunity to have a close encounter with the beauty candidates of the 65th Miss Universe in black-tie dinner, which features entertainment by exceptional performances from world-class talents.
Singson's LCS Group will lead this extraordinary gathering and is expected to be joined by top executives from his major partners at the Miss Universe Competition: Okada Manila, Solar Entertainment Inc., and SM Lifestyle Entertainment Corp.; sponsors: Philippine Airlines and Pass It Forward; and regional sponsors: JPark Island Resort and Waterworld Cebu, and the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio.
